| Heather was adamant that they did NOT want that type of meeting down here. He may still try to get that, & I'm not saying it won't happen, but it is not what T & H were pushing for.

| I would be inclined to make a road trip. If Hoyer wants to avoid the onslaught, we should take it to him.

![]() Its no different than Sarah Palin calling this whole healthcare bill "evil". I can't stand either Pelosi or Palin. Both grate on me like nails on a chalkboard. | |

| The Healthcare Bill, in its current form, is evil. Its intent is to muddy, fog, blur, perplex, and confuse the people. It has left everyone with no choice but to come away with suspicions and interpretations that we are seeing at these THMs. When our government doesn’t clearly spell out their intent the people can only conclude they are purposefully being deceived. THAT is evil. Bush certainly was efficiently accused of that.

Obama is not trying to kill people or lock them up. He believes most of us are sheep to be looked after and he wants to be our shepherd. He believes this will help people. The other guys believe what they do is good for us, too. Until we're talking about people who actually follow the rules, follow the constitution versus socialists, all we're talking about is a matter of degree and a narrow one at that. 18% of GDP is insane and the GOP wants to protect that for their constituents, the big corporations who are raking in that dough. Obama wants that dough going to the government. Conservative Democrats are basically with the GOP on this. Who is for us? Who is pushing hard for the Safeway plan? Or individual self insurance? Or for actually opening up the market so the corporations actually have to compete with one another?

Normally, the issue is, do you trust some moron bureaucrat or some greedy corporate beancounter, and my answer is the same each time - the greedy beancounter, because if I don't like him, I can find ANOTHER greedy beancounter. Once I'm stuck with the government, my choices go away.
