| Mcain himself is proof that there are more conservatives than "GOPers". When the GOP tries to put up "moderate" candidates..they fail. Reagan..no explanation needed,,, Bush the first was elected as a conservative..then screwed up, raised taxes and was defeated... I am not sure if a new party would be a good thing..or if the GOP just needs to stop trying to be what they call "moderate" by avoiding abortion issues, promoting amnesty, and even cap and trade (global warming)..and get back to the conservative ideals they are supposed to have...a strong conservative candidate has usually boded well for the GOP..and I believe that is what most people want.

They see the parties as self serving and cynical and simply don't trust any of them and, frankly, history is bearing them out.

| face it. the republicans took a dump on the last election when they put McCain and Palin on the ticket. They knew what was coming and they didn't want to be in the white house when it happened. That is why I went from being a life long Republican to being a strong DECLINE.

| You really don't have the slightest idea how it works, do you?
