"Right to health insurance"

What does that mean? I keep hearing these Lefties saying that all Americans have a right to affordable health insurance.

Now, we can debate whether Americans have a right to affordable health care, and that is valid. But insurance??

Do I have a right to car insurance as well? Life insurance? Homeowners or property insurance?

Have these people lost their minds? Or are their slavish followers really that ignorant?

You bring up car insurance... I think if the state (as they do in MD) require you to have car insurance on a veh then there should be a company that insures you regardless of your driving record... and they do MAIF... however that is not affordable in the least.

Should everyone be able to purchase health insurance... yes... does it have to be affordable... no.

I think if you're that bad of a driver that you have to have high risk insurance, you should have your license taken away. But that's just me...

I think they should start referring to all these entitlements as a left to whatever it is instead of a right to it.

I agree. Believe me I have seen some pretty terrible driving records that people have and it scares the crap outta me that I am on the same roads as those people.

I am just confused by this whole health care thing why is this the major issue right now and not how we have tons of people out of work and are in a damn recession
