(D) NY Governor Paterson: Obama’s weak record!!!

NY Gov David Paterson Questions Barack Obama’s Coattails and Weak Record for his Political Woes

It looks like embattled NY Democrat governor David Paterson has broke the ultimate Democrat sin. He has dared question President Obama, his coattails and his record. Paterson says he will run for re-election despite the White House asking him not to an his most awkward meeting with Barack Obama. Some one dare say that Obama has a failed record, they must be a racist like Paterson, eh, um.

If you look at it from their perspective, they haven’t exactly been able to govern in the first year of their administration in the way that other administrations have, where you would have, theoretically, a period in which the new administration is allowed to pass the needed pieces of legislation.

One of the things that has made the White House angriest at Paterson is his linking his woes to the president’s. The last time was about race, of course, which made it worse.

Trouble in paradise, President Barack Obama came to New York on Monday and paid more attention to Attorney General Andrew Cuomo than to Paterson. It would appear that if Obama faces opposition in a Democratic Presidential primary in 2012 due to his continual falling poll numbers, he will not have too much room to complain.

From David Paterson via Hot Air:

Every state accepted stimulus money – some said they weren’t, but all accepted stimulus money – it was shocking that the vote on the stimulus money for the ARRA went along party lines. Here, with the healthcare legislation, they’re talking about negotiating to get one Republican senator to vote with them – they can’t get one Republican?

It’s not them, it just seems to be the point of view that: what we’re gonna do, in the middle of a recession – and it’s a good thing that neither of the political parties were thinking of doing this in the Great Depression – but in the middle of the recession is: ‘we’re going to leave off, sit around, and blame the other side.’ See, it’s all “their fault.”

New York Governor Tells Obama To Shove It

New York Governor David Paterson, who ascended to office when a prostitution scandal forced Eliot Spitzer to resign, is beating back intense pressure from president Barack Obama and other fellow Democrats worried that he won't be able to defeat a Republican challenger next year.

Patterson is making it clear that he will run for office, regardless of the pressure.

Over the weekend, the New York Times reported that Obama had asked Paterson to step aside. The president's political-affairs director met with Paterson in recent days to "express concern" about Paterson's poll numbers. Officially, although still off-the-record, the administration says it stopped short of asking Paterson not to run. That's pretty much what they have to say so long as Paterson refuses to step aside.

Paterson is deeply unpopular in New York, especially when compared with his Democratic rival New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. The governor enjoys only a 20% approval ratings, compared with Cuomo's 69% approval. Cuomo has gained traction with the public by vocally criticizing and investigating bankers in the aftermath of the financial crisis and government bailout.

The Obama administration is worried that Paterson may lose the race to a Republican challenger, especially if former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani runs.

If Cuomo is so popular he will beat Patterson in the primary's, Obama should have kept his nose out of it.

Don't limit the King's powers...

If he can handpick CEO's he can damn sure handpick the governor's he wants.. Maybe he can do a Kennedy, and just skip the elections and let him appoint all the Governors. It's only a little rule change, no big deal.

Ask him, he'll tell you how great he is!

He is the WON!!

Because Barry knows it will mirror the mudslinging Hillary and he did and Paterson is known for his race card quickness. The fight alone would sink them both if former mayor Gulliani runs for Governor.
