"But Williams had a less favourable opinion of the current president.

"Don't like him at all," he said, "I think he wants to create a socialist country."

"The people he associates with are very Left-wing. One is registered as a Communist."

"Obama is following Marxist theory. He's taken over the banks and the car industry. He wants the country to fail."

He's not pulling any punches, with those views!

I'm not sure that I'm getting the gist of your reply?

Just because he is 80+ yrs old, has made his fortune some 30 - 40 yrs ago, does he not have a right to speak his mind, on what he believes is wrong?

I'm saying at this point, he has nothing to lose. Others may refrain, because they still have many years of their career left, and they sure don't want to ruin it by saying bad things about someone Hollywood is deeply in love with.
