I am glad Brazil got it. It is their time. However, it would have been great to have had the U.S.A. hosting the Olympics. It would be interesting to see the facts, but I would think local economies would do great in cities in which the Olympics are held, not to mention the revenue saved for our Olympic hopefuls only having to congregate in their own backyards. {Although as an Olympian, I would want to go some place other than my own backyard} Sad...really...sad...

| Wirelessly posted (Change we can believe in!: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7) 320x240; VZW; Motorola-Q9c; Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard) I didn't care until "The Won" interrupted his "America Sucks" campaign to suddenly try to sell the product he has been apoligizing for. Stupid, arrogant move. He put himself into a no-win situation. By losing, his omnipotence has been proven to be a lie. If he'd succeeded, all budget overuns, bribery, and and corruption would become his. This was a campaign trail move. I realize that campaigning is the only thing he has done for the last 10 years, but it's now time to stop and lead. |

| I would have loved to see the Olympics come to the US, just too much curruption tied to this bid with the Chicago-Obama curruption machine!!! So I vote Present!!! ![]()

Define 'reality' check. I am very clear on why I don't like Obama and why it continues to grow. I don't feel good about disliking my president this much. However, that's his fault, not mine. I didn't do squat to him. He is, in my view, continuing, accelerating actually, the destruction of my country. Seems to me he is the one that needs a reality check.

| Seeing the Obamas and Oprah fall all over themselves for Chicago was kinda funny but it was NOT the one reason I didn't want Chicago to get the bid. My main reason is that Rio's never had it before (hell South America's never had it before, seriously how the hell does THAT happen?) so I'm really happy for Rio to get a chance to throw a huge party for the rest of the world. We've hosted it lots of times, let's give a newcomer the opportunity for once. |

2: what do you expect the world to do, he has been telling the world how bad the U.S is since he took office. Guess they listen to him. He should be happy 3: Chicago is a crime pit and it would have ended up being the biggest crime spree in the history of the games 4: I also have no idea of the revenue, however I did hear on the radio this morning (america left Bill Press I think) that no city has ever recovered enough revenue to cover the cost of preperation for the games. 5: I get a bit of a chuckle when I think of obama sulking over his newest loss.
