If you read the exchange with Larry...he was responding to a post I made in which I brought up the S&L crisis. Unlike some blowhards filled with rhetoric their Beck's and Olberman's tell them to believe, I do read up on things that concern me, such as governments constant meddling in corporations that grease their palms.

Every one of your arguments about the actual topic of this thread was shown to be wrong, so you tried to change the subject by posting crap you found on Huffpo and Wiki. That might work to fool your 13th grade teachers at CSM, but it will fail you when you finally grow up. Try to pull that in the real world and you'll get fired.

In addition to the illegality, it does not help your case when someone catches plagiarism on your part. I apologize, I will take that into account. While I realize that quotations are relevant, I guess I took it for granted that I should be as vigilant when used within a forum. I don't usually put out my sources. I'm wordy enough to drive people crazy as it is. So, unless asked, I usually don't give a source.

In this instance, however, I did get the information from several sources.

I understand Wiki is open source, but it does give you a good ground work to go off on, but I do always try to verify points I think are relevant. It is why I went to several sources. One being the article by the university. Another I used was the FDIC:

As to my reference to Citicorp, that was from an article I read:

Many were stating that what Obama was doing was unprecedented. I questioned it and for sometime, I began looking back at the government's history on "bailouts". The information in my post that triggered my exchange with Larry, I used many sources on that also, one was a Newsweek article...couldn't be plagiarized, as it was all a picture slide show. There were several sites that went into detail about bailouts. The earliest information I could find was in 1907.

As to references to the S&L crisis. I was around at that time and had formed my opinion at the time of the crisis on that one. I have always considered it a criminal sham on the American taxpayer and a bailout. I could not remember the details, nor could I remember the figures. I knew we paid dearly for it though. I found these sources to refresh my memory.

I hope that is enough information to make you feel more comfortable.

It's either "you are" or "you're".

"Your" would be appropriate if you were telling me that the hot air is mine. Ask your "professors" at CSM about that.
