Michelle Obama made a great sacrifice to go to Copenhagen, as she stated Wednesday and the the "Great One" figured that his appearance alone would seal the deal.
Blame it Rio, lol.
This couldn't have happened to a more deserving couple.

I admit it, too!

The majority of the regular posters in this forum represent the lunatic fringe of the right. While they fictitiously portray themselves as being about issues over politics, that's pure crap. They don't even bother to hide the fact they want bad things to happen just so Obama (or any other Democrat, for that matter) doesn't get any credit for something good.

They are far uglier with their rabid partisanship than any of the few "Bush bashers" on this site ever were. They're the kind that make reasonable Republicans cringe.

By the way, half of them think Obama had something to do with Chicago making the list of finalists. So you'll need to dumb it down.

Let me know when he does something good.

The Stimulus? Pure, 100% power politics scam. Has spent but what, 5% of it, this thing we MUST have?

The wars?

Health care 'reform' that morphed into a war on private insurance?

Jobs?

Lobbyists in the White House?

Community policing?

Tax increases? Tax cheaters running the show???

Bring the nation together?

A new politics?

End of the old ways?

What has he done FOR the nation?

Energy? Gas is still far too high.

I am angry as hell and, frankly, despise George Bush for sending this nation off on a very bad path. That doesn't mean Obama has to accelerate the disaster.

What has Obama done FOR the nation?

Seems to me he is the one that needs a reality check.

The Obama administration has spent the past 8 months loudly proclaiming to all within earshot, over every single point of debate, that "They Won". That was their answer to everything, and *snap* if you don't like it.

Well, this time - they did not win.

So yeah. HA-HA.

Top White House adviser David Axelrod says "politics" played a key role in the International Olympic Committee's decision to reject President Obama's appeal in support of Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Olympics.

In an interview moments ago on CNN, Axelrod said, "I don't view this as a repudiation of the president or the first lady. I think that there are politics everywhere, and there were politics inside that room." Axelrod said that a former head of the IOC was leading Madrid's effort for the games, and others involved in other Olympic bids also had connections with the IOC. "As with any process like this, there are all kinds of crosscurrents in the room, there are relationships," Axelrod said.
Axelrod: 'Politics' sank Obama's Olympics effort | Washington Examiner

At least Axelrod is smart enough not to blame the IOC of racism.

But more than a handful of folks internationally, still think Neuman is an azz. Perhaps now the Prez will realize his charm ain't all that charming. The world can only swallow so much bullchiat.
