As crappy as it may sound I'd rather pay my own way than be a product of the state. You have nothing to live for or aspire to be in a society like this. That's why so many socialist citizens had great apathy and spilled back the bottles of Vodka all day.

Sure, we have some of those people here today (3rd year generation Food Stamps). That's just not me.

Pffft. I could think of all kinds of things to live for and I would aspire to be a beach bum.

And that would suck because...?

Again, it would only be great for the first 30 or 40 years. After that, people would lose their motivation to work and achieve (like I intend to do) and the gravy train would dry up. But I'd be dead by then and it would be someone else's problem.

Yeah mine, which is why I'm against it.

You wouldn't get your Shoppers lobster either. In a true Socialist nation you wouldn't have a Shoppers. You wouldn't get the lobster either. You'd get a meager ration.

The bread has arrived.

I think we can say that you're somewhat of an anomaly among people your age. Most of them would go for the free goodies because they don't really have anything right now and all they want to do is text while driving and watch Pranked.

So you're pretty much outvoted by your peer group.

BUT! Someone has to keep the workflow going, so I guess that someone will be you!

Thanks for the future free goodies you will be providing me with!

I'd have to move to another country if mine turned into Romania, seriously.

That's if my country let me move.

your forgetting having to eat .... one of communisms biggest failures was the lack of ability to get food (which they had lost of) to market.

most spoiled at the train station waiting on transportation to get to the cities ...

with the PARTY Members getting the choice of what does come in ...

so if your ok with half rotted food, a waiting in line 6 hrs a day to just to get enough for the evening meal ....

That wouldn't happen until later, and by then I'd be gone and it would be someone else's problem. Aren't you reading what I wrote??

Our house deserves to have our vote(s) weigh more than the household down the street living off the dole. And in no way shape or form should ANYONE get money out of a piggy bank when they didn't pay anything into the piggy. (i.e. earned income credit).

So back to only the "LandOwners" getting a say, controlling the rest of us ?
