I went to Greenbelt A.L. Post last night to watch Charles Lollar announce his candidacy for Congress.


If you think Obama is a well-spoken black man, "You aint seen nothin' yet".

This guy was entertaining and serious, he held me there for 30 minutes and I actually enjoyed listening, and he did it without a teleprompter.

Steny better get his wallet out, he has some serious competition here.

He stated that he is going on a listening tour of the 5th district, watch for him at a place near you and dont miss it.

One thing , he started half an hour late. He needs to work on that.

I saw him speak at a dinner a few weeks ago and was very impressed!

I have been impressed with him since the Tea Party in Solomons.
I can't wait to see him down here again sometime!!

I've been watching this guy for two years when he was Charles Co. Commissioner Al Smith's Campaign manager. He has the potential to win this thing. He's making deep inroads in PG County and Anne Arundel Co. like no other GOP has been able to do before now in Dist. 5. I don't think Steny is the man to beat anymore. If I were a betting person, Lollar has my Dollar. I just hope his managers know what their doing - they are newbies. This is too important and we're too close to blow it on inexperience.

I think you're right. There seems to be a series of missteps & they need to get their ducks in a row. Like the time some of his staffers showed a little too much exuberance pleading his case to T-Bone & Heather when T & H were trying to get the Townhall meeting set up with Steny. (Lollar's people were accusing T & H of not giving equal time to other views and candidates, or something) That was a big misstep - because even though I thought Heather made a bigger deal of it than was necessary, getting very indignant about it) they do have a microphone. Don't pi** off the people with the microphones! Lollar himself did call into the show that day, so that helped things.

But I really am very impressed with him. If anyone can make some progress for the Conservative cause in PG - I think he can. And hey - he's already converted his dad from a Liberal to an Independent, he said!

Remember we are trying to take down the 2nd most powerful Democrat in the House.

It's going to be a struggle, but I think it can be done this time around.

He will be down here or so he says, but IMO he needs to do a more grass roots function.
He has an event planned in Newburg at $250 a head, Thats way too much money for a guy lik me, He needs a $25 affair or breakfast somewhere down here , one that we can afford to attend. He needs to attend things like the Farm Festival this weekend.He needs to be seen.

I agree. He might be at the Farm Festival - he was at Charlotte Hall Veteran's home just recently. Day before the Tea Party in DC, I think.
