HuffPo is a lefty site

All Obama has done is TALK or try to Talk. There are others that have DONE and deserve it far more than a TALKER.

I'll make it easy for you:

A co worker comes up with a plan to do a job more efficiently. He tells everybody his idea but never tries to implement it.

You implement the idea, do all the legwork, logistics the whole nine yards and the idea works.

Who deserves to be praised or promoted? You, the man that implemented change, worked out all the kinks, streamlined the process, which saved your company money? OR The guy that sits around and says, "Yeah, that was my idea"?

I do not think I have EVER seen a negative article, quoted from the HuffPo concerning The Won.

What a laugh!

Well, I still don't get it.

So many problems in the economy, the war, job creation, health care and what is the first remark his supporters come back with?

"Give him a break, he's only been in there a few months, did you expect a miracle?"

Acknowledging, however tacitly, that he hasn't actually done much - yet. They want us to give him time to do that.

Now he's been given the Nobel Prize, and - surprisingly - his list of accomplishments is huge, although no one can actually list any.

It's gonna look strange for him to accept the award as he sends more troops to Afghanistan. I'm thinking the Muslim world is gonna forget Cairo.

Actually, it's for "the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

Most work...nope.
Best work...nope.
Abolition of standing armies...nope.
Reduction of standing armies...ok, he's done some of that in Iraq, but increased the armies in Afghanistan. So...nope.
Holding peace congresses...nope.
Promotion of peace congresses...sure, I'll give him that one.

Hey genius, every President before Obama has fought to stop Iran and North Korea from developing nukes, and last I checked, while Obama has been in office the carbon footprint has increased as a result of all the short, medium, and long range ballistic missiles Iran and North Korea continue to test in defiance of what B/S Obama says. Hell I'm against war, and don't like nukes where's my prize? But just like kids, there are only so many times you'll tell them no until you're forced to smack them upside the head! Obama is being rewarded for talk and apologizing for America. Bowing to desert rat kings probably helped too!!!

FYI, the prize has only been declined once:
Quote:
The Vietnamese politician Le Duc Tho, awarded the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize jointly with US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, is the only person who has declined the Nobel Peace Prize. They were both awarded the Prize for negotiating the Vietnam peace accord. Le Doc Tho said that he was not in a position to accept the Prize, citing the situation in Vietnam as his reason.

The Vietnam Conflict (1959-1975), was fought between the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and the United States-supported Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). The Southern and American forces were defeated and the war ended with unification of Vietnam under the communist government of the North.

That's not going to happen now.. The soldiers currently in Afghanistan are SCREWED..

IF he was contemplating sending more troops in, I bet the narcisisist thought of him being a "peace king" will force him to change those thoughts, and put our American sons and daughters at more risk.

He doesn't want to sully his Nobel Peace Prize image now does he?

Bravo

I knew this was going to get the Obama haters to their keyboards. I want to offer congratulations to the president. I want to also say I was surprised by the announcement---although unlike all the Haters, I wasn't aware of all the contenders that were being considered so it's difficult to say they made the wrong decision. I guess everyone being cynical knew all the choices.

He is making a move to have conversations with Iran rather than doing the usual "ignore them and they will see our way." He is making an effort to set up relations with Cuba rather than continuing the economic sanctions which we all know what worked beautifully.

He is talking to Israel and the Palestinians---which every president did--especially George W. He is probably going to have to add more troops to Afghanistan.

I hope something comes of this. And i hope all the keyboard strokes being used right now to chastise the Nobel Committee will be equaled by doing something for another human being in need today. That way it's a wash.

Gotta run, I have some hating to do......
