He is making a move to have conversations with Iran rather than doing the usual "ignore them and they will see our way." He is making an effort to set up relations with Cuba rather than continuing the economic sanctions which we all know what worked beautifully.

He is talking to Israel and the Palestinians---which every president did--especially George W. He is probably going to have to add more troops to Afghanistan.

I hope something comes of this. And i hope all the keyboard strokes being used right now to chastise the Nobel Committee will be equaled by doing something for another human being in need today. That way it's a wash.

Gotta run, I have some hating to do......
And the results of all this talk? one thing what was actually accomplished..

Again, like I said before, lets stand his accomplishments against the other 204 nominees and see how everyone feels. I think it's a slap in the face of those that actually deserve it and have sacrificed their entire lives to making a real difference.

This just in..

President Obama has been named the winner of both the American and National League Cy Young Awards for 2009, despite the fact that many said “he throw like a girl and wears mom jeans” when he threw out the first pitch of the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Game held in St. Louis [Source: Mark Reardon, KMOX 1120 AM radio talk show host].

Another award going out today! I don't see Obama bashing here, I see more Nobel committee bashing here.

I'm sorry, I thought that Communism was the reason that Cuba was such a wretchedly poor country. Pre Castro Cuba was a mecca in the Caribbean with money flowing like water. In rolls Castro and the river dried up. I'm sorry but ideology does not put food on the table.

Iran does not deserve a place at the international table, so screw them. Why? It takes BOTH SIDES TO HAVE A COMPROMISE. If one side refuses to to compromise but the other side does, that's called "capitulation" and that is not good foreign policy.

Reading an article in the US Today, I see where France and Belgium do not think the WON deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

One commenter left these words to ponder upon:

"This is so sad for the Nobel Peace Prize.....How can the world now get excited for future winners, and how cheap it must feel for past winners?"

"Obama would win me over by graciously not accepting the award, acknowledge that it was a wonderful idea, but they should wait until actual actions have had time to occur. Very sad...."

Like, THAT'S going to happen?

So his annoitedness is going to give a presser about his reaction. Start time WAS 1030 then it WAS 1100.

Is this guy EVER on time for anything? He could at least set his watch 5 minutes ahead to help with the tardiness for chrissakes.
