| Strung Out | See, I post in here because I seek the debate, the argument, with the interest of not only making my point but seeing the other side and learning something in the process. I mean, take unions for instance. Around here, unions are, for the most part, bad, end of story, they should all be gone. However, there is an argument to be made that, when there are 20 guys for each job, there is a role for a union to fight for better treatment for people. That day has passed but there is still a role I see for union in an assembly line job. The company isn't going to pay $50 when it can pay $49 and it isn't going to run a line for 8 hours when it can run it for 9 and they're not going to be closed for the Holiday when they can be open. It's a balance thing. It is a black/white issue for the individual; don't like it, don't work for those people. It is not a black/white issue on a larger scale, a city scale or county or state or national. There is a problem when companies go too far. There is a problem when unions go too far. Name an issue; I like the debate and when someone can or will ONLY see their view but can't defend or explain why, that's what I don't like. ![]()

| Oh geesh. Someone will have to bump it next week just in case. ![]() Quote:
I also have a friend who forwards me at least 5 religious emails a week. You know, those emails about how god saved someone, or god loves you. I've mentioned that I don't particularly care for them, but I guess it's easier to foward them to everyone she knows rather than pick and choose. I just choose to delete those as well.

| Strung Out | Well, because some issues I have blinders on. Some issues I focus in far too tightly to one ONE aspect and may not be prioritizing the other aspects very well or using a poor or incomplete perspective. Some times, I am far more interested in winning a battle that costs me the war. I am smart but sometimes stunningly stupid. I am sometimes wise but sometimes, not so much. Lastly, there are all sorts of traits other people have that I admire and even wish I had, things I'd like me kids to be like. However, some of them, I just don't care enough or want to put out the effort; combination of arrogance and laziness. ![]()
