I've never really liked facebook at all and for friends to do that it is pretty lame. I guess give them their own kind of treatment and block them from the walls or w.e as well lol.

I think I said that I didn't have a lot of expendable time for it. And I still don't! Spent the past week poking around on it figuring out how it works, etc. I didn't get a lot of forum time in!

Eh, it's ok, but I think I will be using it more to update the relatives on our newsy stuff and keeping up with what the 13yo is doing more than anything else.

Whatever you do, don't get sucked into the "ville" games! I hear they're very addicting and I'm avoiding them like the plague (or swine flu, lol)! I spend too much time here on the forums to be able to risk any other kind of time thief.

My friends & I tend to make general comments, some will post responses, most of us just ignore if we don't agree. When I want exciting disagreements & arguments, I come here, especially to the politics thread!

Yeah, I've seen those & the aps. I've been avoiding them after one of my Ohio cousins kept sending various ones to me. I wouldn't sign on for a week & I'd have all these things waiting for me.

Oh - and another thing - I almost *had* to get a FB when I found out my 60+ yo AUNT had one! OMG, she's so into the online socializing thing. She's the one who got my mom onto Pogo, etc. So if she had one, I had to get one, too.

If you had good friends (or even not so good friends) from HS or your distant past that you haven't talked to in ages, they'll find you and request you as a friend. It can be a little overwhelming. I have people that I hadn't seen in almost 30 years contact me. It's been pretty good from that aspect.

Then there's the Farmville, Farmtown, Yoville, Mafia Wars, etc... I don't get that stuff but people are addicted to it.

Surprisingly, when I searched, there were about 100 gals on FB with the same name as me. And here I thought I was unique.

Anyhoo, I'm not searchable, so I probably don't need to worry about the weirdos from school or anywhere else, I hope.
