Bush Spending

I can't seem to find anything specific about the out of control spending by the Bush administration - only numbers per year.

From my meager memory, I can only think of a few things that broke the back of the budget. Two wars - Medicare prescription plan - DHS - and TARP, last year. Nothing else really sticks out.

Is it possible that, without those items, Bush's spending is fairly "normal"? That what broke the bank was the wars, and security because of terrorism?

Someone enlighten me.

Don't forget the Democrat-encouraged overselling of homes to people who had no business signing on for debt. It is often stressed that the American housing market makes or breaks the economy. When the Congress forces the financial industry to sell toxic loans, the industry takes the increased risk.

Anyway you slice it, Bush was horrific.

Add to the wars the ugly fact that we didn't even get cheap oil out of the deal; the sole reason and purpose of us being in the wars in the first place.

So, add to our crusades, another $2 trillion in excess oil dollars that went overseas, all the way out of OUR economy.

He bled us but bad. Obama, so far, is worse.

Yeah, but, if nothing else, like the Reagan defecit spending years, at least those dollars went into OUR economy. The bad part is Dubbya spent so much overseas in oil and the legions of foreign contractors.
