Large Corporations are considered "persons" under the laws of the United States. However, corporations do not suffer "death" except as a matter of bankruptcy or takeover. In neither case are the corporations then subject to the same kind of tax that a family owned business is burdened with when the owner/parent dies and transfers his business assets to his heirs.

Corporations never pay inheritance taxes which can consume up to, and possibly more than 50% of the value of a small business. Building and keeping a family business alive from one generation to another is now almost impossible because the inheriting generation gets stripped of the benefit of the work effort input of his forebearer that traditionally would stabilize the business.

Therein lies a very methodical and purposeful extinction of small proprietary business and a movement toward a hybrid of oligarchy and socialism.

While the two parties argue over federalism, they are both operating to create a combine of corporate oligarchy and federal bureacracy that, between them, control all the wealth of the nation.

And, it is going back up in 2011. Without question, there will be some cases of wealthy elderly people, who are close to dying, killing themselves in late 2010.
