Not sure of the investment opportunities - but I'll be far, far, away.

You're ASSuming things would be all sweetness under Gore.
If Gore won Florida we would be speaking Arabic.

Hey gang....

lets be fiscally smart...
Before the next election: buy stock in ammo & armorment companies: no matter what the result: people will be be anxious to restock.

We are still waiting for the "other shoe to drop"...(commercial properties/investments) and naturally obama(may he be blessed) will totally bungle whatever international crisis that will erupt: which may cause another surge in the gold market.

So, those who have....also should know how to profit during the reign of this Carter II.

That's actually a smart investment right now. Ammo companies cannot keep up with the demand anymore. It's true.

Ammo companies are gouging the crap out of us right now. There's 'only' been two wars for 8 freaking years. I could ramp up Pyramid production in 8 freaking years.

Nope. I am ASSUMING a GOP congress would hold his nuts to the fire, as they did under Clinton. At least that is a track record and it makes sense. Are you assuming if the GOP ever gains real power again it won't do what it did last time?

Thanks, now I get to show off.

This was posted on the forums a few months back. There are plenty of other articles to suffice as well.

America armed, but guns not necessarily loaded - Yahoo! News

Quote:
NEW ORLEANS – Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can't keep up with the nation's demand for ammunition.

Shooting ranges, gun dealers and bullet manufacturers say they have never seen such shortages. Bullets, especially for handguns, have been scarce for months because gun enthusiasts are stocking up on ammo, in part because they fear President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress will pass antigun legislation — even though nothing specific has been proposed and the president last month signed a law allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks.

Gun sales spiked when it became clear Obama would be elected a year ago and purchases continued to rise in his first few months of office. The FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System reported that 6.1 million background checks for gun sales were issued from January to May, an increase of 25.6 percent from the same period the year before.

"We are working overtime and still can't keep up with the demand," said Al Russo, spokesman for North Carolina-based Remington Arms Company, which makes bullets for rifles, handguns and shotguns. "We've had to add a fourth shift and go 24-7. It's a phenomenon that I have not seen before in my 30 years in the business."
