Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) locked Republicans out of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room to keep them from meeting when Democrats aren’t present.

Towns’ action came after repeated public ridicule from the leading Republican on the committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), over Towns’s failure to launch an investigation into Countrywide Mortgage’s reported sweetheart deals to VIPs

A GOP committee staffer captured video of Democrats leaving their separate meeting in private chambers after the mark-up was supposed to have begun. He spliced the video to other footage of the Democrats’ empty chairs at the hearing room, set it to the tune of “Hit the Road, Jack” and posted it on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s minority webpage, where it remained as of press time.

at first thought, I think it will be great when the republicans take back over after next election, and the dems go up the steps to the doors of congress, and they are locked. The thought of those dems sitting on the steps in the cold, crying, just cracks me up.

Then I wake up and realize, this is the childish crap that got this country to where it is today.
It has to stop if this country is ever going to be great again.

when the republicans take back over control, the best thing they can do is to be inclusive without going after a dem president for little crap, without closing the dems out of meetings.

The only party adult enough to end it is the republican party.

but still,,, it would be funny....

The Republicans tried to be inclusive the last time they had control , they gave Democrats seats and Chairmanships and they got it shoved up their butts. I say nail them to the wall.

Well, there's that....

It's kind of like WWE. You have your babyfaces (the good guys) and the heels (the bad guys). The faces play by the rules and get suckered by the heels. The heels usually win the match because they cheated, then the face comes back at a later date (typically for a title) so that good can triumph over evil. Then the heel cries that the face cheated or whatever.

This is the Dems vs. the GOP, as far as I'm concerned.

And you people who root for the heels suck. But you'll get yours. Even if the good guys (who may not be the Republicans, because they've done a bit of a heel turn) never win, you'll still have to suffer the consequences of being ruled by the heels. You only think it's cool to have black hearted devils be in charge. It's not really.
