Take back the Party-- or start a new one

Top Republicans jump ship in NY-23 - Yahoo! News

“Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of ‘blurring the lines’ between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections,” Palin wrote in a statement on her Facebook page. “Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.”

Go Sarah. That's my girl. I see others are starting to realise the GOP is supporting people who are not supportable by conservatives. We want our party back from the Grahams and the Hatch's and the Mccains.

I'm Republican, but like I've said before I will NEVER agree with anyone, or any entity 100% of the time over 100% of the issues.

That just shows ignorance and an inability to think for yourself.

I should have my own party, and herd my own sheep that will agree with 100% of what I think, or agree with what I tell them to think. Apparently it's not that hard to do. Just need some mirror time to perfect my smile.

That doesnt make much sense. Are you trying to send a message to forumites,? I dont believe the party is that much influenced by bigots and homophobes. Or do you really think Republicans are bigots and homophobes. Perhaps you support Mr. Jennings the person Obama picked for School safety czar. Personally I oppose his idea of teaching Kindergarten kids the joys of homosexuality. Does that make me a homophobe? I dont think so, maybe you do. As for racial bigots, I believe both parties are equally adorned with such, although the Democrat bigots are ones who usually are free from that accusation due to their politically correct status.

Most people when referring to Republicans or Democrats are interested in the political stances of each as it occurs to the Constitution, the laws they embrace or pass, or the foreign policy agenda. Domestic problems caused by bigots and homophobes are pretty much small issues in the world picture, and secondary in importance to sovereignty, defense of country, immigration, taxes, health care, whether Iran gets Nukes ,should we apologise to the world for our existence, and so many other really important issues.

The Post made is in reference to Sarah Palin and other Republcans defying the Republican party to endorse a Conservative. Do you have a thought about that or would you rather just rant about something the post never mentioned.

I'll continue to vote conservative, which means Demo, GOP, or Independent who I feel is competent with conservative values gets my vote.

In a short time I will no longer be a member of your little club, so what you all decide to do with the GOP has nothing to do with me. And I would rather rip my fingernails out with my teeth than have a discussion with you.
