Excuse me. Do you have a source for your information? Because - last night, on the news, the reporter specifically said Bush DID NOT ever go to Dover AFB. You know - to show homage to the troops he put in harm's way. He did, however, visit families. He visited troops in the hospitals, over in Iraq, Afghanistan, on military bases.

He did not show up at Dover AFB to have a photo op with flag-draped caskets in order to look like he gave a sh*t.

I think both comments have some truth to them. I thought I heard that Bush went to Dover to meet the parents of the soldiers, but did not allow cameras.

I think the only reason why BO went was to try an quite the squelch he is getting for delaying in sending support to our soldiers fighting.

Everyone knows he is waiting and waiting for next week's elections to pass before taking any action.....

He's afraid, if he sends troops before the elections, all the left wing nuts who want him to be John Lennon, will get PO'd and vote for the opposition. If he announces he isn't sending support , all those wanting him to that are sitting on the fence on who to vote for, will vote the opposition.

I personally think it is a slap in the face to the families and the soldiers for BO to sit idle for MONTHS and simply ignore the request for support, then show up as the bodies come home and salute. THIS GUY IS THE DEFINITION OF A P.O.S.!!!!

If I were a father of any of those brave men, I would have made it clear, I wouldn't want this jerk-off in the same state when my son came home.....

Regardless of his policies or time spent on the golf-course (although, I can't begrudge him or find fault for having leisure-time), he is the President of the United State and Commander in Chief, and it's not only his rightful place, but his duty to honor fallen soldiers.



The cameras, however, should remained banned, IMO. Those men had families, and the world doesn't need to watch their suffering.

...and it was those families who had final say on having cameras or not. That's how it's done now.

Agreed. This will absolutely be one of the factors he uses to justify his decison or indecision, aka dithering. He's got to sell whatever he decides to the liberal fringe. I don't think he worries about selling anything to the rest of us anymore. Dictatorships are like that, you know.
