Storm The Capitol 11/5

THIS IS YOUR FORMAL INVITATION!
BE THERE!
JOIN MICHELLE BACHMAN ON THE CAPITOL STEPS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TO STOP OBAMACARE
ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH AT HIGH NOON!

From Harry Riley of Patriots For America:

Patriots,

Rep Michele Bachmann, R-MN has just announced a “storm the capitol” next Thursday, November 5th at 12:00 Noon.

This appears to be in conjunction with Vets For Freedom action that is occurring the same day…….see PFA homepage.

Any and everyone that can make it to the US Capitol, Washington, DC to meet Rep Bachmann on the Capitol steps at 12:00 noon is desperately needed.

The goal is have hundreds or thousands show up and walk with Rep Bachman through the US Capitol advising Representatives to reject the House of Representatives Healthcare Bill………

If the HealthCare Bill Pelosi announced on Wednesday is passed, Rep Bachmann said, “it will be the crown jewel of socialism” in America…….everyone will be forced into a single payer, government run healthcare program…….

I am personally urging, pleading, for everyone to give this request the most serious consideration….if you can possibly be in DC and meet Rep Bachmann on the US Capitol steps at 12:00 Noon, please, please do it…..

brilliant plan.
short notice demonstration planned right in the middle of the working day in a city that parking is not available. Thats the problem with getting conservatives to attend these things, they work.
Downside is that the rest of congress will look at a low turnout and attribute it to no interest in the outcome of the bill. They will use it as another reason to vote for it.

I hope she gets a strong turnout, but somehow I doubt this will work as well as she expects.

The planning isnt the best, but no one knew when this Pelosi would give birth to this deformed monster of a Health care Bill. We all hoped it would get aborted, but Nancy decided to have this Rosemary's Baby.

That is a great point and it is a critical point. A good response to that problem would be that we find candidates we support and support them. We have jobs. Send them a few bucks a month or a quarter. Money is speech, too.

Isn't it worth $100 a quarter to support someone who may save you $1,000's a year in tax increases?

Fact is, the left will always have more 'street' support but that doesn't mean the support is deep or meaningful.

Ever since "read my lips", no one buys that argument anymore.

Once the dust settles and it's clearly a horse race between exactly two candidates, voting for someone who hasn't got the slightest chance of winning is worse than putting all of your money on the long shot in a horse race. All you'll get out of it is being able to declare you didn't vote for the guy who won, and you can do THAT without even showing up.

Solid case for cynicism there, Sam.

You know, I might live long enough to see a Harold Stassen win the White House, but I don't plan to bet a single dime on it.

Once the primaries are over, and the major parties have selected their candidate, and the third parties have fielded theirs, the die is cast. And in our lifetime, the lifetimes of our parents and grandparents, the result is the same - it's going to be a Republican or a Democrat. Period.

Support who you like through the primaries. You can support a Ron Paul all the way up to August, but once the major parties have made their choice, it's well known who the voters are supporting. It WILL be one of the two. If you're willing to bet against that, I'll be glad to just take your money now.

A more in depth case for cynicism.

Isn't a cynic just an optimist who's smashed his noggin into the brick wall of reality once too often?
