Democrats squabbling over slices of stolen pie

Democrats Try to Secure Support as Health Vote Nears (Update1) - Bloomberg.com

Quote:
Some lawmakers still want to prevent the undocumented people from purchasing private coverage on the online exchange.

Democrat Nydia Velazquez, chairwoman of the Hispanic Caucus, said that during a meeting with Obama, the president “listened to our concerns.”

“We made it very clear that 20 votes in the Hispanic caucus will be supportive” of the current language, Velazquez said. “If the language changes, I guess that he won’t have 20 votes.”
Translation? "If we dont get ours, nobody gets any"

An interesting tidbit about our boy Steny......

Quote:
Hoyer, who favors allowing undocumented aliens to buy insurance on the exchange, acknowledged widespread public opposition to “people coming into the United States” and getting “services that the taxpayer believes are taxpayer- subsidized services.”

Thats our boy...."widespread opposition" doesnt mean he wont do it, who cares what the voters think........

You arent by yourself there Vote : Charles Lollar. No way can Collins bailey beat Hoyer, but I feel Lollar can do it.

Now for this article. Here is the kicker IMO:-------

While Hoyer said he expects the House to complete the legislation tomorrow, he told lawmakers to be available Sunday and into next week in case the debate spills over.

If this means what I think it does. Hoyer doesnt have the votes yet;
He is asking them to stand by, because the minute he gets the votes the Democrats will form up , even if it's in the middle of the night and Pelosi's Bed pan licker will call for the vote.
