| M O M has declared Friday, Jan 8 "purple Friday" and encouraging the state to allow relaxed dress so they can wear their Ravens gear to work. I wonder if one doesn't like the Ravens, if they can wear gear for the team they do support. I can see this turning into a #### storm. I'm sure OMalley has more important decisions to make, like what other taxes he can impose on the citizens of MD.

| apparently making the playoffs is a major thing.  maybe they should wait for a super bowl win to do that. |

| People will complain about anything.... I bet it took him all of 10 mins to do this... I'm not even a ravens fan, but I don't care if the people I work with come in with there purple gear on to show some home state support... |

| As much as I disagree with MOM for political ideology, I have no problem with this. Like it or not, he's the Governor of MD. MD's football team is the Ravens (and I do know that many people in MD, myself included, are Redskins fans). He should promote pride in MD's team. I'd also expect him to do something similar if U or MD teams are in the playoffs.
