| Some of the youth are starting to wake up. My sons did, of course they have Sharon and I. My daughter is wondering what the heck the idiots in D.C. are doing and is angry. My step-daughter does not have a clue. Oh well, three our of four isn't bad.

| Pretty good play on Obama's moves. Gotta find something entertaining amid all the depressing stuff.

There are a lot of conservatives in the younger generation! Thing 2 went with me today to the Tea Party at Solomons. At the end, we stood in line to introduce ourselves & talk with Charles Lollar. I even took a picture of him with Charles. It was cute, we were chit chatting with Charles (briefly, and I had to talk really fast - people were lined up behind us) and I mentioned how Thing2 was there with me last year & how we've been following his progress and spreading the word about him, etc. As I introduced my son I explained that he's very politically aware for his age and he hopes to be accepted into the Naval Academy one day. So Charles said to Thing2 "I want to shake YOUR hand" and then he told him something like he was his hero. (neither of us remember the exact words) Then as I stepped back to take a picture, Charles put his arm around Thing2 and said under his breath "Join the Corp, not the Navy". ![]() The way he interacted with us & especially my son, really left a big impression on Thing2. | |

Lollar seems like a genuinely awesome guy.Sounds like your son has some good roots himself.
