I got some info on the signage. As everyone knows, signs cost money. A LOT of money. Charles has been raising money all along the way since he announced his candidacy. But the thing about the money is the RNC gives candidates, especially NEW candidates fundraising goals. In order to be taken seriously, and to be given some kind of recognition, they must meet the goals. Money talks. Simple as that. Money translates into support. You can SAY all you want that you have support, take your polls, etc. But the fact is without MONEY, it means nothing. Since Charles was given a goal of a certain amount of money - he had to hold on to that money IN THE BANK, to show he had it. CASH money on hand by the deadline. So that's why you didn't see a lot of signs in the beginning. Obviously, this is his FIRST campaign and, therefore, he doesn't have a garage filled with signs like Collins Bailey or Steny Hoyer has. The small yard signs cost $9.95 each. I have 3 of those right now to put out & hand to neighbors and friends. I have no idea how much the 4' x 8' signs cost- but you can imagine.
