| When you enroll in a voluntary program, generally you follow the rules of that program. Quote:

| I seriously could never abide by that religion. We went to Hershey Park a few days ago and it was in the high 90's. We saw what I assumed, based on the dress, was several Muslim families. The male family members were all in tank tops, shorts and some even sandals. The woman were completely covered except their faces (from the eyes to chin) and hands. The only exception of a female baby who was in a stroller in typical hot weather baby clothes. The feminist in me was just cringing.

Often times conservatives ask why don't these feminists organizations make a bigger issue out of Islam's treatment of women. The answer is because at least the American feminist movement is almost entirely focused on issues in this country. It would be asking why the tea party with its libertararian bent, doesn't make a bigger issue of China's government involvement in the Chinese economy. Obviously they would support that, but it doesn't make sense for them to focus on that issue as they are a domestic movement. | |
