| What is described is not sexual assault. This is what you get when there's a hot button issue, media scrutiny of the hot-button issue, and lawyers. Schools no longer react with common sense because there is always a parent with a lawyer, who will go to the press and create an "issue". And it continues because there is always a lawyer and a judge somewhere who will entertain the idiocy. And, it continues because there are insurance companies who will pay out money rather than take it to court, where, in an open hearing, the full extent of the idiocy would be exposed. Lawyers have a lot to answer for in our society today. And we let them do it... ![]() (reminds me...need to go back & post in Larry's thread...)

| Isn't it such a dichotomy that in a city that prides itself of over the top depravity, almost rolls in it with delight, that something like this would happen? I mean isn't this the city that has 3-4 parades a year where it is perfectly acceptable for a 60 year old overweight man to walk down the street with nothing more than a leather mask and a c0ckring on to a cheering crowd and get oral along the way from random people in plain view of everyone, and it is just fine, yet a 6 year old can be accused of being "a pervert". |

| Was anybody bothered by the lack of logic in this sentence... "So not only did the school administration err once in branding a first grader as a sexual deviant but again in failing to apply its own code of conduct." My problem with the logic is its says that the school made two mistakes 1) Branding a first grader as a sexual deviant 2) Not following its own code But the violation of its own code was putting the sexual assault charge in the kid's record, which is the exact same thing as the first one. Other than that, these situations get crazy. Schools act dumb all the time. That may or may not be the case here, but just cause you are a school administrator doesn't mean you have great judgment all of a sudden. |
