Obama In Maine: GOP Philosophy Is Simple --

Link to original article.

"President Obama campaigned in New England on Friday, stopping in Vermont and then Portland, Maine.

He started off in Portland by thanking supporters for taking a chance on him as a candidate four years ago. "You said in 2008, when you supported a candidate named Barack Hussein Obama, that you knew this wasn't a sure thing," he told the cheering crowd.

"We've begun to see what change looks like," he continued. "Change is the health care law we passed after a century of trying," hitting the popular provisions of the law like stopping those Americans with pre-existing conditions from being denied coverage and expanding Medicare. He also touted ending "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and the troop withdrawal from Iraq. "That's what change is, and it happened because of you" he said.

As for his possible political foes, he lumped the entire GOP presidential field together, saying the candidates have a simple philsophy -- "You're on your own," citing Republican candidates' desire to repeal financial and health care reform."
