Who isn't concerned?

Mitt Romney Killed My Wife - YouTube

By the 'logic' used in this advertisement, President Obama is responsible for the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry (Fast and Furious), and the crimes (rapes, murders, etc.) committed by the illegal aliens that he refuses to deport from this country. By the way, what is the current unemployment rate due to failed economic stimulus packages?

I'd venture to say that President Obama isn't concerned.

Obama killed all the people that died of anything medically related if they had no health insurance because they lost their job in 2009 or later.

Mass murderer....clearly.

The AD is Reports are in that Romney left Bain in 1999, well before the guy was fired from the Steel Mill. And after that, his wife was still working and had Medical Insurance.

This ad - for the uninformed - is so rife with bull#### it's running over.

The most important thing to know is, the wife - for whom we are supposed to sympathize - had her own job and her own health insurance. What happened to the husband had absolutely no effect on her.

I didn't hear the name of the plant - but if this is GST Steel - this ad is a fraud on so many levels it's unreal.

We'll go with the first one - Mitt wasn't there when it closed.

Second - and this is probably an important part that most people don't get - this was not an example of corporate raiding - you know, when you gain controlling interest in a company and rip it apart. Like the vampires they like to compare Bain to - they can't come inside until they are invited.

GST Steel had been losing employees since the 70's, until by the time Bain came along, they were about 20-25% the size they had been at their peak. Moreover, this was the steel industry, which just about vanished from the country in the 80's.

What Bain does is look at a company, decide if it's a good risk and spend its own money in an effort to rebuild the company. It sometimes cuts parts of the company but the primary purpose is to save the beast rather than kill it. Aside from the rather obvious fact that it is better to save 1000 jobs by cutting 200 than to lose all of them, many of Bain's success stories led to even more employment.

Anyway -

Bain - from the time they got involved to the time they departed - spent 100 million of their own dollars trying to save what was left of the company, and you'd be amazed at the effort they went through. I'll try and dig up some of the crap they had to sift through, but the company was badly mismanaged.

You don't sink 100 million bucks into a company you plan to scuttle. I found at least one former employee who said that if it hadn't been for Bain, it would have gone under a LOT sooner.

Info on this company is easy to find - even fact checker groups who HATE Romney recognize this as a load of crap.

Obama needs to go back to what he was good at in Chicago - digging up dirt and deflecting attention to trivialities.

GST steel closed in 2001. This guys wife dies in 2006. I guess "A short time later" means 5 years.

A report I saw debunking the gross lies in that ad said his wife died 22 days after she was diagnosed; all of that in 2006.
