| Romney wants to end hospital visitation rights Romney wants to end hospital visitation rights for gays? Is this a joke? @mittromney IS U 4 REAL While oh-so-informed libs stock up on feminine hygiene products for the coming Tampocalypse, still others are spreading the rumor that the evil, heartless Mitt Romney plans to ban gay people from visiting their partners in the hospital. Perez Hilton accused Romney of "hateful discrimination" in a post titled "Mitt Romney Wants To End Hospital Visitation Rights For Same-Sex Couples." Sure thing. He'll get right on that after outlawing tampons and the Dollar Menu. Since progressives are evidently appalled by using a little-known site called Google, GOProud's Jimmy LaSalvia handles the research for them: JimmyLaSalvia@JimmyLaSalvia For all of you lying about @mittromney's position on hospital visitation rights, here he is on that issue -> cbsnews.com/video/watch/?i… At Univision's "Meet the Candidates" forum in September, Romney explained: My view is this: that individuals should be able to pursue a relationship of love and respect and raise a family as they would choose. I would like to have the term "marriage" continue to be associated with a relationship between one man and one woman. And that certainly doesn't prevent two people of the same gender living in a loving relationship together, having a domestic partnership, if you will. I can see rights such as hospital visitation rights and similar types of things being provided to those individuals. But marriage, to me, continues to be a relationship between a man and a woman. http://twitchy.com/2012/10/24/unhing...r-gay-couples/ |

| This is stupid. My male brother is not married to his female S/O. He checked with his local hospital and all he had to do was give written consent that she was his primary medical advocate and all she has to do is present that and she has the right to be the contact for him medically. Why would that be different for a male/male or female/female?
