Christie Needs a Diet

Christie pandering to Obama is now the cry baby. I hope Christie's fat butt get a few more kicks. If anyone around here plays politics is it Christie.

Lawmakers Outraged After House GOP Scraps Vote On Sandy Aid « CBS New York

Gov. Christie: Blame House Majority And John Boehner For Politicizing Sandy Aid

“There’s only one group to blame for the continued suffering of these innocent victims — the House majority and their speaker John Boehner,” Christie said.

No, Christie, you are a leader and you are to blame too!

“This failure to come to the aid of Americans following a severe and devastating natural disaster is unprecedented,” Christie and Cuomo said in a joint statement. “When American citizens are in need we come to their aid. That tradition was abandoned in the House.”

Cry me a river. It is like they are not going to get any money. My kids throw better tantrums that Christies and Cuomo. Hey Christies, super size it!

You don't even acknolwedge that he has points. It's taken over 60 days for relief, yet all other recent storms have been 30 or less.

Apparently, Boehner wasn't voting on it....so yes, on the issue of federal funding, I'd say not voting on it falls on Boehner's shoulders, and is his fault.

There's definately something to be said when there are things like:
$2 million to repair roof damage at Smithsonian buildings in Washington, D.C.
$336 million for Amtrak-related expenses
$8 million to buy new cars for federal agencies
$150 million for fisheries in Mississippi and Alaska
$4 million for repairs at the Kennedy Space Center

$16+ TRILLION in debt and the grazy train keeps on rolling.

Once again, there were separate bills in the House. This is political cowardice-- not voting on something on principle is one thing. But to not vote on anything, I guess because Boehner doesn't want to put TEA Party/GOP in a position where they vote against this on "spending" principle... it's cowardice.

I don't recall you coming out against Harry any of the times he's done this.

That's more or less where I was going.

If the dems propose a bill with pork, the system of check and balances we are SUPPOSED to have should vote that stuff out.

If he was smart, and the Republican party wasn't full of pansies, Boehner would come out and say...

"Look folks, we're in debt, and your elected Dems want (insert list above here) added to the bill to help Sandy victims. We will NOT vote on this bill in these fiscal times. We want aid to be sent to Sandy victims just as fast as anyone, but we will not let these millions of dollars in special handouts slip through the cracks."
