Could Obama be first 3-term president since FDR?

http://rt.com/usa/news/president-ame...ll-repeal-541/

A United States congressman has introduced a bill that would repeal the 22nd Amendment, which currently limits the president to serving only two terms as commander-in-chief.

Should the bill become a law, it could allow President Barack Obama to run for reelection yet again in 2016.

Considering the Barry is about as right neocon as any Republican today could hope for I don't see why there would be any opposition from the right to this.

Fifth term of W.

I guess it's possible that at least 16 Republican Governors would vote to repeal and let Bozo serve another term but it's unlikely.

Well, it also requires 2/3 of the states to approve it.

But why would Obama bother with this when he can just inplement an executive order?

According to the National Archives website, a proposed amendment becomes part of the Constitution as soon as it is ratified by 3/4 of the States (38 of 50 States).

That is correct. Article 5 of the Constitution states...

"The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate."

How is this a conspiracy theory in any way, shape or form?

The bill, H.J. Res. 15, offers “an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.”

New York Democratic Rep. Jose Serrano reintroduced the measure on January 4, after it did not make it to a floor vote in January 2011, the Daily Caller reports. Serrano has attempted to repeal the amendment for decades and proposed similar bills in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007.
