Predictably he has surrounded himself with children. What better way to get peoples' emotions than to USE kids as props to get his way.

Obama made no mention of the EOs he signed at the end. So, we have a mystery until the media can get hold of the actual text of these EOs.

But called for congress to pass a law forcing everyone wanting to buy any firearm to go through a 'universal background check'.

So, when is a right no longer a right, but becomes a privilege?

The National Rifle Association on Tuesday provided TheBlaze an exclusive look at its new video, which criticizes President Barack Obama’s opposition to having armed guards in more schools across the United States. The gun rights organization refers to the commander-in-chief as a “hypocrite” and an “elitist” in the scathing production.

Noting that Obama’s children are protected by armed guards at their school, the video asks: “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?”

“Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but he’s just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security,” the video adds.

“Protection for their kids and gun free zones for ours,” the video concludes.

the only people who would be refused permission to by a weapon under a universal background check system would be those who are currently not permitted, how does that turn a right into a privilege?

so, by simply refusing to allow someone to carry a gun, they wont?

Ummmm,,, didnt the people that are going to be refused,,, already in most cases do something illegal to be refused in the first place?

Not sure you realize how stupid this additional gun law really is.

Sure...right...why would you want to check backgrounds for criminal history...psychological problems...restraining orders...citizenship?

Keep trying maybe one day you'll have position that contains some iota of common sense.

Criminal History. SSN should already be on file with the state for this.
Psycological issues, Patient Doctor confidentiality is going to be an issue here
Restraining orders, not always what they seem to be. Some are valid, some are not.
Citizenship? how will it not be racist to ask for citizenship in this case, when its racist and a violation of constitutional rights to ask for it in other cases?

the only people that would be refused would have already done something to be refused in the first place. Why is that a abd idea?

if your argument is that they will just go buy "illegal" guns, then fine, let them. At least they wont be allowed to purchase "legal" guns any more.

I for one have no problems with closing the used gun loophole with respect to background checks.
