Liberal Democrats

Does the "progressive" wing think anything through, or do they feel like they have to do something every time they get butthurt. Everyone on here knows me, either personally or politically, and everyone knows I'm left of center. That's a secret to nobody.

But whining over not getting filibuster reform. Shouldn't blocking repeals of Obama-era legislation, blocking repeals of bank/oil regulations, blocking repeals of gun laws, blocking the Paul Ryan budget and blocking Personhood (assuming the GOP wins the Senate and White House in 2016) be more important to liberal Dems? The left is acting totally irrational.

Instead, they assume they're going to win elections for 264 years.

I'm political - I'm always thinking about strategy. And rule number one is, always assume you can and will lose the election. Democrats assumed they'd win in 2010 and look what happened. Republicans assumed they'd win the White House in a landslide and regain the Senate in 2012 and look what happened.

You would think that, after 2010, Democrats would quit listening to Ed Schultz and Glenn Greenwald.

I think the liberal Democrats need to buy Prep H and Kleenex for every time they get butthurt instead of felling they have to do something. Sometimes, doing nothing is the best course of action.

And don't try bothering explaining all this to the progressive wing today. They're so bent out of shape that they refuse to listen. Listening to my progressive friends, it's like listening to Chris Tinglelegs and Ed Schultz (or most of MSNBC for that matter).
