Rep. Rayne Brown, North Carolina State Republican, Introduces Bill Criminalizing Nipple Exposure


Rep. Rayne Brown (R), who co-sponsored the bill, said that while it may seem frivolous and even funny, "there are communities across this state, there’s local governments across this state, and also local law enforcement for whom this issue is really not a laughing matter," according to WRAL in Raleigh, N.C.

Brown said that she was prompted, in part, by Asheville's second annual topless protest and women's rally this past August. Asheville is around 130 miles from Brown's district, the Associated Press writes.

According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, the event last year drew around a dozen women, who took off their shirts to "promote women's equality."

JHC, a felony! Of course, there is nothing else more pressing on their legislative agenda. God forbid they should actually tackle important issues such as budgeting & funding or education. No, they want to focus on nipples. Reminds me of the two little kindergartners giggling over the picture of a mermaid in a book about shapes and pointing to the circles.

These kinds of things will cease to be issues when human beings stop acting like 5 year olds around body parts.

It is amazing that folks continue to sexualize anatomical parts that were designed/created to provide food for the young.

I don't know why I actually expect governments to work on fixing major issues like poverty, jobs, education & budgets when members of governmental bodies continue to focus upon minor publicity-driven idiotic proposals. To think that I actually expect them to act in a mature manner. What on earth am I thinking???
