Exclamation Poll: Obama at 3-Year High , Republicans at Bottom

Link to original article.

"President Barack Obama enters the latest budget showdown with Congress with his highest job- approval rating in three years and public support for his economic message, while his Republican opponents’ popularity stands at a record low.

Fifty-five percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance in office, his strongest level of support since September 2009, according to a Bloomberg National poll conducted Feb. 15-18.

Only 35 percent of the country has a favorable view of the Republican Party, the lowest rating in a survey that began in September 2009. The party’s brand slipped six percentage points in the last six months, the poll shows."

.....

"The poll of 1,003 U.S. adults was conducted by Selzer & Co., a Des Moines, Iowa based polling firm, and has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points. "

Then why is it that 87% want the president to quit spending?

And since I’m still a republican (haven’t changed parties yet), I am not one of them. Can anyone in this forum really say they agree with what the GOP is doing? Screw what Obama is doing, what is the GOP doing? Nothing! Playing defense; and very poorly.

When Americans, by-and-large, feel the pathetic policies of Obama are better for them than what the GOP is offering, you people better wake up to that reality. The next election is not that far off that we could be facing another full control of the fed by democrats. That thought should scare the #### out of every one of you (well except for the few liberals on here that just have no end for their love for Obama).

While I cannot argue for the GOP, you are a complete moron if you do not think that any issues are the democrats fault. The mess we are in is a problem created by both parties not just the GOP.

Not according to Gallup, which has been doing approval ratings since the days of Truman. Bloomberg, a relative newcomer was, as you recall, the outlet that at one point predicted a 13 point lead for Obama. Historically, it has been the ONE polling firm most favorable to Obama, and that includes all of the others, from NBC to AP.

In average disapproval ratings, Obama ranks just behind - ready? Nixon. Braying about a 55% approval rating is meaningless.
