Md. Senate Passes Gun Control Measure 28-19

Md. Senate Passes Gun Control Measure 28-19 « CBS Baltimore

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ/AP) — The Maryland Senate has passed Governor Martin O’Malley’s gun control bill 28-19

Pat Warren reports supporters believe the bill protects public safety. But opponents argued the bill fails to do what it claims to do but rather focuses on making it harder for law-abiding citizens to own handguns

From the article:
The bill has a licensing requirement for handgun buyers to submit fingerprints to state police. The provision is intended to reduce the number of guns purchased by a friend or family member of someone who is not allowed to own a gun.

So, someone could be restricted from purchasing the firearms that they want to own because of the criminal history of their brother/sister/parent/etc?
Why do the innocent have to pay for a criminals mis-deeds?

Doesn't the House have to vote on it also or is Omalley just going to bypass them?

House of Delegates is where the bill goes next.

I don't think there was any doubt it would pass the Senate.

They've all got their heads so far up Owe'Malley's a$$ they are looking at the back of his teeth.

But you know damn well that this is going to evolve into "reduce the number of guns any one person can legally own."
Just the beginnings of Communism, that's all.

These Senators voted to pass SB 281 on it's first vote. There are still multiple amendments being considered. Get your friends to launch a lunch time phone blitz. Ask how this bill will make you safer? Demand to know why the governor is profiting off a civil right. Demand real solutions that respect 2nd Amendment Civil Rights.
