Psychologists blast Rush Limbaugh for mocking traumatized Kerry voters

Psychologists blast Rush Limbaugh for mocking traumatized Kerry voters

Quote:
The Boca Raton News reported last week that more than 30 distraught Kerry supporters in South Florida contacted the non-profit AHA following their candidate’s Nov. 3 concession to President Bush. AHA officials have diagnosed the disorder as Post Election Selection Trauma (PEST) and have scheduled the first of several free group therapy sessions for just after Thanksgiving.

I have to see if I can find a clip of Rush mocking them

I caught the O'Reilly segment that touched on this on the tube last night!

Bill was interviewing a psychiatrist form Florida, who claimed nearly 300,000 people have visited psychiaric clinics, mostly in Ohio and Florida, seeking treatment for Post-Election Stress Trauma (PEST).

He wouldn't be specific, but the majority of the folks needing help were predominantly Democrats and a small minority were Republicans!

What he was alluding to was that there are still holdovers from the 2000 Election that hadn't been able to deal with that loss, and these people are further depressed over another loss in 2004.

Whoa! Who would have thought that people could get so wrapped up in all this, that they'd enter a severe depression affecting their sleep patterns?

Perhaps these people are actually suffering from another affliction and PEST is merely a symptom: Obsessive-compulsive anal-retentiveness coupled with an overdeveloped sense of drama, and spoiled brattishness.

Maybe they should come up with an name for that and rethink this whole PEST nonsense.

What a bunch of babies.

I think you may be forgetting there were literally thousands of people on the east and west coasts that unabashedly declared their HATRED for George Bush during the last 3 years?

He stole that 2000 election they say, and I guess they've never gotten over it.

This guy on O'Reilly was touting nearly 300,000 people who have sought counseling for this disorder.

I wonder what the Annual Family Income is for these folks?

I just wonder how many of them needed psychiatric help before the election.

I think they should all be declared mentally ill and not allowed to ever vote.
