Allen Colmes is an idiot

When Colmes tried to defend the N.Y. Times and then mis quoted General George Casey, Newt Gingrich sliced him into little bitty ugly pieces. The more Colmes ranted the more Newt made him look like a narrow minded Bush hater. I've never heard Newt be so calm, collected and articulate. Impressive. He even had a rationalization of Murtha's behavior that made sense but was not really an attack. Smooth.

Newt has always been pretty articulate and he has mostly been calm and collected.

I had no idea that he ever really spoke. Whenever I watch the show, I notice that Hannity dominates it and when Colmes speaks he's the most inarticulate defender of liberal/Democratic ideas I have heard.

Then you don't watch. Colmes gets just as much airtime as Hannity and both are very good about staying quiet while the other one is "on".

That's because he's been having to defend the indefensible these last few years. Last night he was trying to make the case that General Casey said the same thing the Democrats have been saying - that we should pull out of Iraq. But that's not what Casey said at all and Newt busted him on it.

He does that all the time. But occasionally they'll have some Leftie with a point on there and Alan shines, while Hannity looks like an archaic boob.
