Roy Dyson is his own person. He doesn't cowtow to the Democrats nor is he a traitor to his party. He votes either his conscience or the will of his constituency. Either way, I respect that. He is one of the few politicians I've ever seen that is a true representative of his district. Our Congressman Roscoe Bartlett up here is another one.

This is so rare in any kind of politician it is considered rogue behavior, however it is how it should be. You dont vote for the party, you vote for the canidate. No where in our nations constitution, any town charter, etc etc does it even mention about agreeing with one party or another.

And SMCDEM I think kids here are lucky, in several states they cannot drive until they are 18.

The democratic party protects and defends civil liberties, obvioulsy he doesn't.
Better get used to getting smacked in the face. There will be plenty more coming through the years. Welcome to adulthood.

Sad but timely

Full article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2003Mar14.html

Snippets:

Two teenage siblings and a Fairfax County man were killed yesterday when the young driver of the station wagon they were riding in drove into the path of a dump truck in St. Mary's County, Maryland State Police said.

David C. McGinnis, 14, and his sister Nicole A. McGinnis, 16, both of whom were in the back seat of the car, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at Route 235 and Route 6, not far from their home in the small St. Mary's community of Mechanicsville. A front-seat passenger, John A. Baker, 33, died at Prince George's Hospital Center, authorities said.

The driver of the 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity wagon in yesterday's crash had only recently obtained her license, authorities said. She was heading west on Route 6 and was trying to cross Route 235 about 12:30 p.m., said Lt. Brian Cedar of the state police. He said the driver stopped briefly at a yield sign in the median between the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 235 and then drove forward directly into the path of the dump truck.

"She apparently thought she had time to get across"

Sortly before 10 p.m. Friday night another teen drove into the path of a pickup truck in Huntingtown. He died. Too many of you kids can't drive very well.
