Patuxent Playhouse Presents “A Christmas Story” No

The Patuxent Playhouse nonprofit community theater group will perform "A Christmas Story" The performances will take place at the St. John Vianney Family Life Center Theater, located at 105 Vianney Lane in Prince Frederick.

ABOUT "A Christmas Story":

Set in the 1940's during a snowy Christmas season in Indiana, nine-year-old Ralphie Parker longs for the ideal Christmas gift - a 200-Shot Carbine Action Range Model Air Riffle, with a compass and this thing which tells time, built right into the stock! But when Ralphie's gruff dad and doting mom, overbearing teacher, and even a stressed-out Santa quote the usual BB gun warning "You'll shoot your eye out!", Ralphie mounts a full-scale, hint dropping campaign that is a sly combination of innocence and calculation. Will anyone hear his pleas or will they all be mesmerized by his Old Man's "Major Award"?!

Since 1989 Patuxent Playhouse has been entertaining audiences across Southern Maryland as one of the oldest non-profit community theater groups in the area. Our goal will always be to provide quality family entertainment, but what sets us apart is our relationship with community members and other non-profit organizations in our area. We provide our stage productions as fund raising events and lend our resources to others in need of support. Patuxent Playhouse develops relationships with local youth organizations and is dedicated to providing youth drama and mentor programs, so children in our community have an outlet to express themselves in a safe, hassle free environment.
