There are very few Radio/TV ministers that I have found to be theologically sound in Christian teaching; Dr. Stanley tops 'em all. | |

| ABSOLUTELY #1! One Sunday night, in July of 1989 I was in need of something but I didn't know what. I came home and turned on the TV and heard him speaking. Now he was an old guy & I usually didn't listen to TV preachers but he taught sooo clearly and made lots of sense, so I continued to listen. My testimony is a long story but after one hour of listening to him, I asked Jesus to take over my life and he did! I have listened to Dr. Stanley since then and he is the best of the best and will always be my hero. I had the pleasure of meeting him and shaking his hand back in 1997 in Virginia and I was like a kid meeting his idol. God has really blessed that man and his ministry. He always relates God to us in a "down to earth" way. I recommend him to anyone who doesn't like the "churchy" sounding preachers; you know, the ones who scream & snort and say amen after every sentence. ![]()

| Fine Preacher I was saved really by the stories on the 700 club back in 92. Before I found a church I would watch the 770 club then Charles Stanley and then a couple of them I cant remember. I always like the radio show of Dr. J vernon Mcghee, Through the Bible. |

| Now Listen (one of his favorite lines) :-) I used to think he was the cats meow, he is definetly one of the best on TV but as I started to get off the milk I need more, I certainly wont critize his teaching hesa a good teacher but many of the sermans are man centered, like how to deal with depression and such and that just dosent do anything for me. I used to have a asmall intrest in John hagee as well but that didnt last long as there is more to scripture than escatologty and the Jews. Hes not afaraid to mention Hell though so that he has going for him. Try John Piper, Paul Washer, or John Mcauthor, or Mark Dever if you really want to rock your socks! |
