we were talking about people in a nation being good people .... in the terms that god will (at some undetermined point) kill them. Can you think of people that don't deserve to die? I can think of many. thats more along what I was getting at. Good people that don't deserve to die listed as members of nations.

People in a nation, put Him on a cross - remember? You point is hopeless -death is inevitable unless you found the "fountain of youth"? Do people deserve to die? That is not even a realistic question - people will die, its inevitable. This is why God poured out His grace in Jesus Christ. And man's response was to murder Him... (and lately not believe what He said)

and woah woah woah there pal .... 'man' didn't murder Jesus. 'Men' did. I wasn't there, and I don't appreciate being lumped in. edit: and what do you mean lately, the majority of the world has never believed.

"not everyone dies as part of one fell swoop by god." True, believers in Jesus Christ are redeemed and given an eternal inheritance!

Can you show me a stat on that?????? Have you seen the numbers? They are changing, but this nation would refute what you said when it was founded.

| And that is why the Jews despised him. He represented a conflicting point of view. Still, he did not denounce his heritage which included military leaders that advocated a strong defense by a strong military. The quotes from the New testament by Mark are a model for individuals to follow so that an individual might find redemption. Jesus never represented a model for societies or governments to follow except "That which is Ceasars...". That was because he embraced his Judaic roots on the matter of national defense. Remember, he was raised in a country under foreign occupation. If he preached that you should stand up and smite your opponent, he would have been crucified much earlier as an insurgent. His message was designed to help the oppressed survive on earth as much as it was to provide redemption in heaven. It was not just holy and wise, it was the smart thing to advise.
