Jesus taught us to love our enemies. Jesus recognizes that there is and will be war just as He told His disciples. And Jesus will return and wage war against all the nations of the earth that will gather in the valley of Megiddo.

Well, let's see:

You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
-Matthew 5:38-42

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
-Luke 6:27-31

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
-Matthew 5:9

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake./ Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
-Matthew 5:11-12

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." - Romans 12:19

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." - Revelation 19:11-16

No, He wouldn't support ALL war, but He will end ALL war.

Since Jesus was a Jew and a Rabbi he professed the teachings of David and Saul among all the other icons of Judaism. Nowhere in his messages did he suggest that anyone NOT take an affirmative defense if presented with real harm. His "turn the other cheek" remarks were regarding the pain of words, not weapons.

His own disciples walked the streets armed with swords. They even cut off the ear of the High Priest's guard when they arrested Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. Obviously, he never commanded them to disarm. He advocated passive strength as opposed to brutishness. His lack of self defense was a restraint imposed on him by God his father, and he chafed miserably under those shackles.

It is quite different to engage in war for war's sake, than it is to present an affirmative defense of your home, country, and freedom.

Jesus practiced zero-aggression. Not only that, but he practiced pacifism. When his own life was threatened, he did not fight back.

I don't know who the politicians fight wars for, but it is certainly not Jesus.
