He built custom cedar cabinets and closets for luxury yachts.

Sometimes he did siding work on the side.

Sante Fe, New Mexico - Gravity-Defying Staircase

Santa Fe weddings at The Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico

The Owner of Durkin's Realty loaned my mom a dvd about the history of this staircase.. The story was great

Their website used to have information about it, but I just checked it out and it's no longer there

Yeah, "carpender" sounds like someone who does weird things to fish.

Jesus doesn't like it when you make dirty jokes in his threads

Saw a documentary once that claimed that Joseph made farm implements and tools out of wood. I don't think they were too much into fine cabinetry back then. Chances are, Jesus did the same kind of work growing up.

I also just found this: Joseph, the Carpenter

So if had have stuck with it and not gotten sidetracked and the business had picked up and he got married and his son's took over and passed it on we'd be seeing "Nothing runs like a Jesus" signs on tractor dealerships?

I always thought he was a fisherman. He did a lot more of that in the Bible than Carpentry. I also find it odd that if he was the actual blood decendent of King David (on his mother's side obviously) why would they be into a mundane blue collar job?
