[quote=Radiant1;2950820]You mean the entire Mass is sung, or just that there is more singing such as the Hallelujia, Our Father, hymns, etc? Either way, I suspect it has to do with each individual parish and the presence or lack thereof of a "liturgical committe" (don't get me started, heh).

When I went to Easter Sunday service, they pretty much sang things you wouldn't have thought they would do. I also come from the "Old School" where when you said "The Lords Prayer", you didn't have your arms stretched out and head up, but kept them folded in front of you, head down in a remorseful manner.

Monsignior Lamonde was the best. Miss him like crazy. I'll never forget his first Mass when he said if your 9 year old can't sit through mass without using the bathroom then he needs to see a doctor.

OH YEAH!! I remember when he said that if they could sit through a movie (forget which ones were popular at the time) then he could sit through Mass!

Hey libby,

Been watching Father Corapi, the last few months, Sun. evenings, and really enjoy his sermons.

He is a great preacher....

Ah yes, Fr. Corapi is fantastic. My mother just told me that she wanted to treat me to his series on spiritual warfare. Some relatives of mine went to see him and he came out in combat gear, like a Marine! Drove his point home, I'm sure.
Have you heard his conversion story? He has quite a history, and found himself a homeless bum on the streets of L.A.

BTW- I just heard he is being treated at the Mayo Clinic as we speak. I don't know what for, or how serious his ailment might be. Please add him to your prayers...for me??
