Catholic Churches

Are all Catholic Churches getting back to singing EVERYTHING? I feel they would draw a younger crowd if they didn't sing so much.

I recently heard that there was a Latin Mass celebrated somewhere around here, during which they sang everything.
But, as for any other Mass, I've not heard any more singing than I ever have. Where have you been going that you're hearing an inordinate amount of singing?

And the songs aren't the most catchy little songs either.

We had been going to Our Lady of the Wayside but we moved to Lusby and have been going to Our Lady Star of the Sea. They sing alot. (and smell like pee) They have an older congregation. We are moving to SC when school is done for the year and the church we found down there sings almost everything, too. Our Lady of the Wayside saturday evening mass is the best. very little singing and done in 35 minutes. Fr. Baer tries to sing but he must be completely tone deaf.

The Traditional Latin Mass is offered every Sunday @1100 at St. Joseph's in Brandywine, I have never heard "singing", but some chant. I heard first Sunday has singing.

Most Churches only have singing at certain Masses. The 7AM Mass at Holy Face is quiet.

The problem with singing at Mass is the use of protestant (heretical) hymms rather than Catholic ones.

Our Lady Star of the Sea has singing at all the Masses. Saturday and Sunday, but it's not that bad. Church is church. You're not there to critique the singing, but to worship God. How you do that while you're at church is up to you.

The singing doesn't bother me. I just can't sing a lick and feel like I can participate more saying the prayers. I do and you're right, the singing isn't that bad. Wait, you've never heard Father Baer.

Used to attend Mass on the base. They had Monsienor Lamande there and that guy could sing.
