Yes, hotcoffee, I do realize that.

It's just that when I read the name "Gomer" the Andy Griffith Show came to mind. (forgot about Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.) lol

Oh cool....

So what do you think of the poopy book idea? Think the kids would like it? I read too that they changed a temple to Baal into a latrine.... ;)

Well, with new technology at hand maybe a virtual-reality computer game could be developed that kids would really like!

The kid's main character would have a certain amount of time to get through various sections of the cave in order to make it to the "potty" in time. Dodging flying bats, racoons, bears, and various other cave-dwelling critters. Points are scored for each critter that was dodged along the way. If the main character can't make it in time, well.... accidents do happen and any points scored are lost. However, if the character makes it to the potty in time the kid scores an extra100 Bonus points. LOL

It's interesting to me that when reading the Bible this time, this function is mentioned so many times.

I never thought about the Bible being bathroom reading.

I'm not making fun of the Bible at all. It's all the more precious to me because these incidents are there.

The kids in my Sunday School class were all amazed to learn how young Timothy and Mary actually were. They all thought, since it is such an ancient Book, that the characters were all old old old men and women. I wonder what they would have thought, how it would have changed their attitude about reading the Word, if they had heard some of the verses I'm referring to here.

New Discoveries...

Josiah as 8 years old when he began his reign as King. One of his advisors found the book of Moses Law and read it to him. He did good.... As a matter of fact... he was better than any king before him.....

New topic.... What's a Nimrod?

There is one posting in the salvation thread - and he is certainly not mighty.

So now I've made it to 2nd Chronicles.

I noticed that there is not real mention of the fact that the reason God didn't allow David to build the Temple was the blood on his hand.

I also see more information about David planning the Temple and gathering the supplies for it in this book.

He also did a lot of planning of the manning for the Temple as well.

This is a better article on the Asherah

And here's a question....
