Agreed about the term "tome", but someone probably doesn't have a lot of free time to work on their personal pet projects if they are head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and then Pope. It's a wonder he even has a minute to himself to take a crap.

The Good News as written in the Holy Bible is deemed reliable in regard to what God wanted to reveal and all we need to know.

And, by the way, speaking of "Assumptions"...
What is your reason for using Saviour instead of Savior? I'm not being critical, you clearly do it for a reason I'm just wondering why.

Actually, the spelling is acceptable either way.

My reason? Perhaps the Christian Promise that The New Testament Jesus Christ is our Saviour sent to mankind.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving onel.

I know either is acceptable but you only choose that word to go all olde English in me.

You too, and safe travels to all!

Well, this could be the 8th book of the Apocrypha, to add to the other seven that have no theological, historical, or divine backing.

Perhaps the pope could toss it out on facebook or his personal twitter account, for documented background......

Or whatever......

The pope isn't claiming his book is scripture. In fact, if you read the book you just might get different or more insight into that scripture that you claim to have a corner on. You people act as if God can't inspire you other than by reading the bible in your own self-created bubble. Good grief.

I never thought highly of you before, but I'm now quite certain your nontheological, nonhistorical and nondivine opinion isn't even worth the crap that floats in my sewer.

Oh, well........good grief, yourself. My feelings are hurt - not.

As far as crap goes, from reading your posts, it should be obvious that catholic poop does not stink. So I should fit right in your life, right? Like a fragrant savor in your house?

Good grief.

Could be an interesting read. Always up for another take on scripture.

Don't know why the rest of you are stirred up, the bible itself is nothing more than interpretations.

We know what you guys think, open your minds and see what someone else does. If you are strong in your faith and belief that your way is THE way, then what would it hurt?
