| In The World But Not Of The World Quote: ![]() The initial Scriptural basis of "being in the world but not of the world" refers to Jesus. Then, Jesus states that His followers are also in the world but no longer of the world. This is found in your Bible: Quote:

| It ain't just the Catholics. I was just looking up 2012 election voting trends the other day, and 21% of Mormons (an increase from 18% in 2008), along with who knows how many "born-again Christians" (best guess - about 3-4 million) failed to vote at all just because Romney is a Mormon. Add to that 50% Catholic, 75% of Hispanic Catholic - just shows that way too many people who profess to believe the Bible, obviously do not believe much of what the Bible preaches. I'm an evangelical, born again Christian. I voted Romney. However, I know for sure, in our small meeting, that at least two or three of my older brothers and sisters in Christ, voted Obama just because they were (1) democrat their whole life, (2) Obama was going to keep the mean republicans from stealing their SS benefits, he would give them more stuff, and (3) Obama was only a little bit better off than they were, while Romney was rich. It is really easy to scare and fool old folk, for sure. It is even easier to sway the uninformed, ignorant, and socialist thought process. Sad, really.

![]() I voted for Mitt Romney as well. (However, during the Primary I voted for Michele Bachmann) My differences re: Mormonism have been quite clear on previous threads, however, given the fact that supposedly each vote counts, and really only two candidates were seriously considered, Romney was "The One" that I voted for. As an important side note: I have worked closely with many Mormon individuals in management and business administration settings. IMO: The Mormon people are kind, extremely family oriented, wise in business operations, and conscientious of preserving Patriotic American and Moral Values in our society. When I cast my vote for Romney, it was a vote for Maintaining American Patriotism, Upholding the tenets of The United States Constitution, and Maintaining Moral Values and Principles that would have made for a better society in our children's and grandchildren's future. I realize, though, that God has a plan for America since America apparently doesn't want to have a plan with God. The next four years will be telling.

| Interesting. While I understand the biblical references, read the comments in the link. Even Catholics can't agree with each other over something pretty blatantly simple to me. While I certainly do not agree with the evangelical churches, I certainly respect their fevor and passion. |

| Your pride and arrogance will be your downfall--scripture says so, even in your Bible! Ignore this warning at your own peril SM. Please stop assuming the rest of us are ignorant. |
